The Power of the Heart – Where Love, Healing, and Purpose Are Born

In Scripture, the heart is more than just a symbol of emotion – it’s the centre of our being. “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Proverbs 4:23). It is where decisions are made, where desires are born, and where our connection with God begins.

A heart surrendered to God becomes a source of love, healing, and divine purpose. King David, a man after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14), shows us how even a broken heart can be made whole again. After his fall, he cried, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). God did just that – restoring him and using him mightily.

Jesus also reminds us that what flows from the heart matters deeply: “For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of” (Luke 6:45). When we allow God into the deepest places of our lives, He brings healing to wounds, stirs compassion, and aligns our purpose with His will.
