“You did not choose Me, but I chose you…” – John 15:16

In this tender reminder, Jesus speaks to His disciples about the grace of being chosen by God. This is not about our merit or our worthiness, but about God’s sovereign will to select us as His children. He calls us into a relationship with Him not because we are deserving, but because of His great love and purpose for our lives. Understanding that we are chosen by God helps us to humbly acknowledge His grace and motivates us to live lives worthy of this calling. We are set apart for a specific purpose – to bear fruit and bring glory to God. The love that we receive from Him isn’t meant to stay with us; it’s meant to flow through us to others. As chosen ones, we are called to live with intention, trusting that He has a plan for us and that His purpose for our lives is good, even in times of difficulty.
